RG Live employed Crable to supply branded phone charging stations for guests in their VIP areas in Newcastle’s Come Together Festival in August 2025.

The festival had a capacity of 45,000 people per day and was held over two days in August.    

VIPs attending the Platinum VIP and the Greggs Clubhouse all had their phone charging needs fulfilled while they charged their own body batteries. So many people had travelled from outside the city that turbocharging their phone batteries was a greatly appreciated service.

The hardened festival goer is reliant on a well-charged battery to take photos and videos, stay in touch with friends and family, and share their experiences live on social media.

RG Live were conscious that people’s phones are a critical part of a successful festival and event, and went the extra mile to supply fast charging facilities to their VIPs.

BESPOKE CHARGING SERVICES FOR FESTIVAL VIPS

It was after 5pm on a Friday when Crable got the call from RG Live. The Come Together Festival was just days away, and they needed a fast solution for the VIP areas. The request? Two custom-branded Charging Totems, ready to power as many devices as possible.

No problem.

Crable’s Totems can charge up to 32 devices each, and with the British summer being predictably unpredictable, they also arranged protective canopies to shield festival goers from downpours. RG Live provided the branding pack, and Crable quickly designed striking visuals to wrap the Totems with eye-catching festival artwork.

By Wednesday morning, before gates opened at 1:30 pm, Crable had already cleared accreditation, completed drop-off, setup, and testing - all by 10:30 am.

Then came one final ask: could Crable staff the Totems for the entire event?

Of course.

A well-trained, friendly team was on-site day and night, making sure VIPs stayed charged and connected - before, during, and after every set.

THE RESULTS & BENEFITS

The Come Together Festival was a huge hit!  Over two unforgettable days, massive crowds gathered to enjoy electrifying sets from Robbie Williams, Kings of Leon, Kaiser Chiefs, and many more.

From the moment gates opened at 1:30 pm, the energy was electric - especially in the buzzing VIP areas. Right from the start, Crable’s Charging Totems were in high demand, providing essential power boosts all day and well into the night.

Each sleek Totem featured four charging shelves equipped with wireless chargers, USB ports and plug sockets - keeping every kind of device powered up. Some festival goers even discovered, for the first time, that their phones could charge wirelessly!

Let’s face it: no one wants to admit they suffer from Nomophobia, but the sight of a low battery brings anxiety to all. Whether it’s 10% or 60%, Crable had everyone covered.

Photos and videos captured fans of all ages relying on the Totems proving once and for all that staying connected is just as important as singing along.
